Sahlgrenska Science Park welcomes Mats Hellström as new Lab Manager for Health Innovation Labs™
Sahlgrenska Science Park is excited to announce the appointment of Mats Hellström as Sahlgrenska Science Park's new Lab Manager. With this addition, Sahlgrenska Science Park extends its commitment to provide value-adding support for entrepreneurs, researchers and clinicians to accelerate their research in the newly opened Health Innovation Labs™ on Medicinareberget in Gothenburg.
A lab manager is a crucial need for many innovative startups, offering expertise and guidance that can be challenging to find and finance independently. Mats will provide invaluable support in product development, testing, troubleshooting and mentoring. He will also facilitate connections within and beyond the collaborative community Sahlgrenska Science Park is developing on Medicinareberget - in close collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Sahlgrenska Academy and Akademiska Hus.
Mats brings a strong background as a Lab Manager and Associate Professor at the Laboratory for Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Gothenburg University. Additionally, he has worked as a senior scientist at RISE. Mats has an extensive network and a keen interest in supporting health innovation growth.

His role will involve managing day-to-day activities, co-creating research solutions and implementing strategies to enhance the labs' capabilities.
