Mirno has won the HealthTech Award 2026 for its virtual patient platform Cinemedic Pro, recognised for advancing simulation-based training for healthcare professionals.
The award, presented by Sahlgrenska Science Park together with Vitalis and Great, highlights innovative healthtech solutions with strong potential to improve healthcare.
Mirno was recognised for Cinemedic Pro, a platform that enables realistic medical simulation training through virtual patients. The technology is designed to support healthcare professionals in training, decision-making and preparation for clinical situations, with the aim of strengthening patient safety and improving learning outcomes.
- This recognition means a great deal to us. We are passionate about improving medical training through more realistic simulations, and receiving this award at Vitalis is a strong validation that we are on the right track, says Ian Alexander S., Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Mirno.
The finalists presented their solutions during The Great Pitch at Vitalis, where 12 Nordic healthtech companies pitched live in front of an audience and expert panel. Several participating companies, including Mirno, are or have been part of CO-AX Accelerator, Sahlgrenska Science Park’s accelerator programme for growth companies within life science and healthtech.

This year’s competition featured companies from across the Nordic and Baltic regions working in areas including diagnostics, medical devices, digital health and clinical decision support.

The Great Pitch is a live stage format at Vitalis where selected healthtech companies present their solutions to an audience and an expert panel. The presentations are followed by questions and discussion, with a focus on innovation, clinical value, and implementation in healthcare.
