DigiH4A (Digital Health for All) is an EU-funded Interreg North Sea project that aims to accelerate the adoption of digital health solutions across healthcare systems in the North Sea region. The project brings together health authorities, research organisations, innovation actors, and companies from seven European countries to improve access to innovative digital healthcare services.

The project addresses major healthcare challenges including ageing populations, increasing healthcare costs, and the growing need for accessible and sustainable care. By developing new reimbursement pathways and methods for assessing the health and economic value of digital health solutions, DigiH4A seeks to create better conditions for large-scale implementation of digital innovations.

International Collaboration

DigiH4A includes 11 partners from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France. The project is led by Innovation Skåne AB and funded through the Interreg North Sea Programme.

Role of Sahlgrenska Science Park

As a project partner, Sahlgrenska Science Park contributes its expertise in health innovation

and business development to support the uptake of digital health solutions. The project engages health authorities, healthcare providers, researchers and companies, with a particular focus on helping SMEs navigate market access and implementation challenges. More than 200 SMEs across the North Sea region are expected to benefit from the project's activities and results.

Expected Outcomes

Through DigiH4A, partners will:

  • Develop innovative reimbursement models for digital health solutions.

  • Create methods for evaluating health outcomes and cost-benefit effects.

  • Support healthcare decision-makers in implementing digital innovations.

  • Facilitate market access for digital health companies.

  • Improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes across the North Sea region.

Why It Matters

Digital health technologies have the potential to improve prevention, chronic disease management, early diagnosis and care for ageing populations. DigiH4A aims to bridge the gap between innovation and implementation, helping healthcare systems adopt proven digital solutions that can reduce pressure on healthcare services while improving quality of life for patients.
