Welcome to a new seminar at SIK.

Learn about the fifth taste umami. How was it discovered and what does it taste like? What is monsodiumglutamate and is this something we need to be afraid of? You will also hear about multi-sensory flavour perception and how umami is affected in airplanes. How to combine umami with beverages will also be covered as well as umami in the Japanese kitchen.
