(1) Laser endomicroscopy image recognition of breast cancer using transfer recurrent networks
(2) Pulmonary nodule segmentation with CT using adversarial networks
In this talk, two recent research work on AI-based medical diagnosis developed in Prof. Yang´s lab will be presented. The first method is related to breast cancer detection, where a novel laser endomicroscopy image recognition approach is developed where deep transfer recurrent learning is applied. The second method is related to lung nodule detection from CT, where adversarial networks are employed. The research work is done in collaboration with Imperial College of London / University Lyon.
Prof. Jie Yang received BSc degree in Automatic Control in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a MSc in Pattern Recognition & Intelligent System was achieved three years later. In 1994, he received a PhD degree at Department of Computer Science, University of Hamburg, Germany. Currently, he is a Professor and the Director of the Institute of Image Processing and Pattern recognition at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.
This seminar is a collaboration with the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology.
