The West Swedish Incubators and their partner at this event, AstraZeneca BioVentureHub, welcome business leaders and entrepreneurs to join this exciting session to get some new insights from the US through visiting professor Lidija Polutnik from Babson College, world famous for their entrepreneur and leadership educations.

This session introduces the key success drivers of pricing and revenue models for new ventures and small and medium organizations. To succeed business-owners must understand, and leverage, the relationship between customer value and the costs and competencies required to monetize this value. Additionally, rapid changes in technology, existence of big data, and mobile applications, present new opportunities to capture customer value. Subscription plans, flat rates, freemiums, name-your-own-price, and two-sided platforms are some examples of revenue and business model innovations discussed in this program.



  • What is customer value? Identify how we can use customer data to define value. How can we assess customer willingness to pay? How can we assess responsiveness to price changes and their impact on revenue?
  • What are the key levers for pricing and what is the best practice in pricing?
  • Who should be responsible for pricing policy in organizations? What are some biases of different stakeholders in organizations in pricing and how can their perspectives align with organizational mission?
  • Identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) in various revenue models.
  • Discuss and identify opportunities for innovations in revenue and business models resulting from new technologies, software, mobile apps and availability of customer data.
