NLS Days 2025 - Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon | Award Ceremony

Welcome to the award ceremony for the winner of Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon!

One representative from the winning team at each Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon location will be invited to Gothenburg, Sweden, in October 2025 to participate in the final award ceremony at the Nordic Life Science Days (NLSDays) conference. This prestigious event offers a unique opportunity to pitch their idea to potential partners and investors.

As winners, teams will not only gain valuable exposure through pitching and exhibition opportunities but also receive business coaching and a monetary award from a total prize pool of up to EUR 15,000.

NLSDays is a premier annual gathering for Europe’s life science community, providing an exceptional platform to network, showcase innovations, and explore business opportunities.

Team

Innovation/Concept

Luckie Tech, Malmö

Luckie Tech delivers a unique healthcare service that uses our patented wearable device to continuously monitor vital signs, helping reduce mortality rates from severe febrile neutropenia in children undergoing cancer treatment.

Yukis, Stockholm

A platform to empower informal caregivers of our aging population. We aim to alleviate the mental and physical challenges of caregiving through education, community and practical tools.

DIA-AID, DIAgnostics of Antibiotic resistant Infections AIded by Artificial Intelligence Deep learning, Göteborg

DIA-AID is building a new generation of diagnostic tools to transform how we detect and respond to severe infections such as sepsis. By combining advanced molecular analyses and AI, we can analyze a single blood sample to understand both the cause of infection and the body’s immune response.

Our goal is to make diagnostics significantly faster, more precise, and truly personalized – helping clinicians act with confidence when every hour counts.

PediAItrics, Spain

Despite advances in oncology, children are often left behind: only 2 of every 70 new cancer drugs are approved for pediatric use. PediAItrics addresses this gap with an AI-driven platform that integrates clinical records, genomic studies and biomarkers into a unified pediatric oncology database.

By accelerating trials and drug discovery while reducing costs, we help researchers and pharmaceutical companies bring effective therapies to children with cancer faster

eNose Diagnostics, USA

By using an electronic nose in combination with machine learning, the odor of blood samples can be analyzed for early detection of cancer

MediFlow, Germany

Designing a system to better manage the medical storage of medications in hospitals. Aiming to significantly reduce medication waste as well as safety issues related to reparations for patients.

SensEye, UK

SensEye is a web platform designed to make eye health more accessible by digitising traditionally in-person tests and incorporating AI for deeper insights able to detect potential signs of conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, or AMD

Bioshield Pro/AMReady, Singapore

What if the key to stopping antimicrobial-resistant infections isn’t just in new drugs, but in the walls, sinks, and surfaces around us? BioshieldPro is a device that enables prevention and environmental monitoring
