Sahlgrenska Science Park helps new companies in the field of life science to get off to the best possible start. We offer expert knowledge and experience on a commercial basis together with a large network in industry and commerce and the field of life science.

Goal

Sahlgrenska Science Park shall actively contribute to the formation of 5-7 new companies every year in the field of life science in Gothenburg. These companies shall be commercially viable and have good opportunities to expand into large and competitive enterprises after they have left our business park.

Organisation

Sahlgrenska Science Park was established on the initiative of BRG (Business Region Göteborg) and Region Västra Götaland (VGR). Together, they formed the non-profit association SBIC (Sahlgrenska Biomedicinska InnovationsCentrum), which established, and owns all the shares in, Sahlgrenska Science Park AB. The University of Gothenburg has also been a member of SBIC since May 2004. Our main partners are GU Holding, GöteborgBio, Higabgruppen and Innovationsbron.
